The International Charity Organization (ICO) has launched the Al-Adha Campaign- 2023, as part of a host of charitable and humanitarian initiatives and projects of AED 17 millions, inside and outside the United Arab Emirates.
These important initiatives and projects include; slaughtering and distributing the sacrificial animals of cows and sheep, Hajj Badal, food aid, orphan sponsoring, construction of mosques, well digging, construction of Qur’an memorizing centers, distribution of Qur’an copies, paying off the debts of debtors, Eid clothing, among others.
ICO Secretary General, His Excellency Dr. Khaled Abdul-Wahab Al-Khaja, asserted that this year’s Al-Adha Campaign coincides with a myriad of field visits to needy areas in a number of countries, such as Niger, Mauritania and Benin, calling on benefactors wishing to perform the sacrificial ritual this year to delegate the ICO to distribute meats on their behalf to the beneficiaries by donating via smart links or the website, or by visiting its Ajman’s headquarters and Ras Al-Khaimah’s branch, or counters located in mosques and shopping malls.
“We reassure the benefactors that their donations will reach the most needy beneficiaries. We hope that this blessed campaign will achieve its goals in the more suffering countries by delivering the sacrificial donations to families facing dire conditions and have meat only in seasons,” His Excellency said.
