The International Charity Organization announced the sending of a shipment of medicines worth 7 million dirhams to Niger and Senegal, with the generous support of Global Pharma, one of the companies of the Dubai Investment Group, under an agreement aimed at supporting hospitals and health centres in poor and remote areas. This initiative comes in conjunction with the orphans and health care campaign launched by the Organization.
The first convoy of medicines was launched in the presence of His Excellency Dr. Khalid Al Khaja, Secretary General of the International Charity Organization, Dr. Basem Al Barahmeh, General Manager of Global Pharma Pharmaceuticals, and Dr. Maryam Galadari, Advisor to the Board of Directors of the company, in addition to a number of officials from both parties.
On this occasion, Dr. Khalid Al Khaja stated: “This initiative comes within the framework of the Organisation and its strategic partners commitment to support countries that suffer from challenges in providing healthcare, whose villages and remote areas we visited and witnessed with our own eyes the extent of their urgent need to provide treatment and medicine. Here, I extend my sincere thanks and appreciation to Global Pharma for its generous support, which reflects its social responsibility and its keenness to do good. We are also proud of them as our partners in this blessed journey on the path of goodness and humanity.”
For his part, Mohammed Saeed Al Raqbani, General Manager of Dubai Investments Industries and Masharie Company and Board Member of Global Pharma, said: “This donation reflects our humanitarian commitment to patients suffering from pain. We hope that these medicines will contribute to improving health conditions in remote areas and providing treatment to patients who need immediate support. This is part of the company’s approach that it has followed over the years. We also extend our thanks to the International Charity Organization, which is one of the leading organizations in the field of charity and humanitarian work, and has become an icon of giving through its clear initiatives and efforts, especially in African countries. We ask Allah to accept this work from us all.”
