Ajman Ruler Praises the Efforts of the International Charity Organization Over 40 Years

His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, may Allah protect him, praised the distinguished efforts made by the International Charity Organization since its establishment 40 years ago, which exceeded projects worth 5.3 billion dirhams inside and outside the United Arab Emirates.

This came during His Highness's meeting with the members of the Board of Trustees of the Organization, which was held at the Emiri Court in the Emirate of Ajman, in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, His Excellency Dr. Khalid Al Khaja, Secretary-General of the Organization, and members of the Board of Trustees.

His Highness stressed the great humanitarian role played by the Organization in supporting and developing communities, noting its establishment as one of the first charitable organizations in the UAE with the aim of providing aid and assistance to needy groups around the world, alleviating their suffering and improving their living conditions. His Highness said: "We are proud of the great achievements made by the International Charity Organization over four decades of continuous and diligent work, and we are aware of the magnitude of the challenges it faced in light of its work in dozens of countries, but its strong commitment to lofty humanitarian principles and the continuous effort of the work teams made it able to achieve these successes."

His Highness was briefed on a group of new projects and initiatives that the Organization will launch during 2025, the most important of which are: establishing a charitable training center in Ajman to train needy families and unemployed youth, establishing a sustainable park in the Emirate, in addition to a group of projects in poor villages abroad, the most important of which is establishing the Emirates Medical City in Senegal, the Al-Ulfah Village for orphan families in Niger, and the Noor Global Initiative to light a thousand homes in Africa.

For his part, His Highness Sheikh Ammar Al Nuaimi praised the pivotal role of the International Charity Organization within the UAE’s charitable system, its distinctive mark in all national and relief campaigns, its field efforts inside and outside the country, and its outreach to areas in need with the aim of meeting their requirements, and emphasized the importance of continuing the journey and expanding the scope of giving to new countries, in addition to keeping pace with technological development and focusing on sustainable development projects.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, expressed his deep thanks to His Highness the Ruler of Ajman and the Crown Prince for their continuous support to the Organization, stressing that this support had a great impact in strengthening the role of the Organization and enabling it to expand its humanitarian activities. He said: “The support of our wise leadership is the greatest incentive to continue our humanitarian journey, as the Organization seeks to be one of the largest supporters of the needy around the world, and has so far succeeded in providing aid to more than 40 countries since its establishment.”

He added: “Thanks to Allah and then the generosity of charitable people, the size of our projects over 40 years exceeded 5.3 billion dirhams, the most prominent of which were orphan sponsorship and care projects that exceeded 2 billion, 300 million dirhams, while zakat projects exceeded 540 million dirhams, mosque projects: their maintenance and furnishing exceeded 370 million dirhams, and the size of public charity projects approached 330 million dirhams, and health projects reached 310 million dirhams, while educational projects exceeded 264 million dirhams, and many other charitable projects.

For his part, His Excellency Dr. Khalid Al Khaja, Secretary-General of the Organization, gave his highest expressions of thanks and appreciation to the generous people who were and still are a symbol of goodness and giving, announcing that the Organization seeks through its offices and areas of work to implement new development projects that meet the hopes of the UAE in helping the needy and achieving stability and support for societies, such as: building mosques, digging wells, building schools, hospitals and villages for the poor, orphans and refugees, in addition to food and urgent relief projects, and others.
