The International Charity Organization launches a project to build an integrated city in Mauritania in celebration of Zayed Humanitarian Day

The International Charity Organization laid the foundation for the construction of a fully integrated residential city in Mauritania to celebrate Zayed Humanitarian Day. The aim of the project is to provide housing and basic services to needy families, including the poor and orphans, at a total cost of 8 million dirhams.

The city will consist of 100 fully equipped homes to meet the needs of the beneficiary families, in addition to a mosque that accommodates 100 worshippers, a school providing a comprehensive educational environment for students, a health center equipped with the latest medical equipment, an artesian well to ensure the provision of clean and sustainable water, charitable endowment shops, and a modern water distribution network to ensure efficient water distribution.

In a statement, His Excellency Dr. Khaled Al-Khaja, Secretary-General of the International Charity Organization, confirmed that these initiatives reflect the Organization's commitment to promoting sustainable development and improving the quality of life in targeted communities. He pointed out that the choice of Mauritania was based on thorough field studies of several regions, which revealed an urgent need for such developmental projects.

He added: "This project comes as part of the Organization's vision and humanitarian message, embodying the values of giving and solidarity established by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may Allah have mercy on him and which our wise leadership in the UAE continues to follow in supporting humanitarian and charitable work globally."

His Excellency also revealed that the Organization celebrated this day by implementing a series of charitable projects within the country, including the donation of wells and water for patients in several hospitals, distributing food parcels and Iftar meals to orphan families and needy families. He expressed his sincere gratitude to the benefactors who placed their trust in the International Charity Organization, whose generosity has been a bridge to helping those in need around the world.
