Exceeding Targets: 165 Million Dirhams for the International Charity Organization's Ramadan Campaign Projects

The International Charity Organization has announced the success of its Ramadan campaign for 2025, with its charitable projects reaching a total of 165 million dirhams in 23 countries around the world. These included distributing 315,000 Iftar meals in the most impoverished areas, providing 22,000 food parcels to break the fast in over 450 poor villages outside the country, distributing 300,000 Iftar meals within the country, as well as 3,500 Ramadan food parcels, and distributing 80,000 Zakat al-Fitr to needy families.

Additionally, 258 mosques were funded for construction to serve as centers for worship and learning, 1,000 wells were drilled in water-scarce regions, 60,000 orphans were supported, and other charitable projects were carried out, such as providing medical treatment, supplying medical equipment, helping debtors, and supporting productive families.

In this context, His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi expressed his heartfelt thanks to His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ajman, may Allah protect him, for his constant follow-up and ongoing guidance. He also thanked His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Head of the Executive Council, for his continued support, emphasizing that the leadership's backing played a significant role in the Organization's leadership in various fields of charity. He said: "The trust and support of the philanthropists were key to the success of this blessed campaign. Their generosity acted as a bridge to reach millions of needy people, reflecting their faith in the Organization's message of spreading goodness and extending a helping hand to the less fortunate."

He added that exceeding the targeted goals demonstrates the community's engagement with charitable work and confirms that humanitarian giving knows no boundaries. This is the approach of the United Arab Emirates, which has taken it upon itself to ensure a dignified life for the most vulnerable groups in various countries.

His Excellency also thanked the philanthropists, the teams of the International Charity Organization, and its branches and offices for their tremendous efforts during the Ramadan campaign, which showcased their dedication and loyalty to this Organization that, alongside other institutions, represents a great nation as vast as the UAE. He confirmed that the journey of giving continues through future campaigns, which will further enhance the Organization's leadership in humanitarian fields.

For his part, His Excellency Dr. Khaled Abdel Wahab Al Khaja, Secretary-General of the Organization, stated that this year’s Ramadan campaign was unique as it focused on projects that align with the UAE’s vision for the Year of Community. The Organization's focus was on empowering families and supporting initiatives that contribute to building a cohesive society. As such, efforts were concentrated on assisting patients, relieving debtors, and supporting orphans. He emphasized that the UAE community is a charitable one, and its giving extends to other communities.

Therefore, the Organization's impact has been clearly felt in many countries, particularly in Africa, where it received support from philanthropists for sustainable projects such as residential villages, charity complexes, and other initiatives that leave a significant mark on people's lives.
