The Board of Trustees of the International Charity Organisation reviewed the projects and initiatives of the organisation during the first half of 2023, as the implemented projects amounted to 248,000,000 dirhams.
They reviewed the most important projects implemented by the organisation’s delegation during its recent visit to Benin, Mauritania and Niger, while praising the efforts of the departments, sections and foreign offices in the seasonal campaigns, most notably the Ramadan campaign, which the project volume exceeded 150,000,000 dirhams, with a growth rate of 14% from last year, and the Al-Adha campaign, whose projects and initiatives amounted to 19 million, 600 thousand dirhams, with a growth rate of 29%.
The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, in the presence of the Vice-Chairman, His Excellency Abdul Rahman Al Mutaiwee, Their Excellencies the members of the Council, and His Excellency Dr. Khaled Abdul Wahhab Al Khaja, Secretary General of the Authority.
The meeting was initiated by Sheikh Mohammed Al-Nuaimi by talking about the pivotal role played by the International Charity Organization inside and outside the UAE, and the clear efforts of its field work teams, in addition to expanding the scope of aid and its access to new countries and regions, in line with the vision of the wise leadership and embodying the highest forms of giving and aiding the needy around the world.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Nuaimi added: “By the grace of Allah Almighty, and then the giving of benefactors, men and women, the authority achieved honourable results during its most important seasonal campaigns in the first half of the year. For his part, His Excellency Dr. Khaled Al-Khaja revealed that the organisation receives the second half of the year 2023 with great enthusiasm with the launch of the summer campaign ‘Cool them down’, which included important projects inside and outside the country such as providing drinking water, digging wells, water distribution, building mosques and Quran memorization centres, cooling and lighting for mosques and paying electricity bills.
