His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the International Charity Organization, inaugurated the Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi School for Basic Education in the Suwayma area of Jordan, which was built at the expense of His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ajman - may Allah protect him.
The opening ceremony was attended by the Chargé d'Affaires of the UAE Embassy in Amman, Counselor Hamad Al Matrooshi, His Excellency Dr. Khalid Al Khaja, Secretary-General of the International Charity Organization, Her Excellency Sahar Shakhatra, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Education, His Excellency Yazan Al Obaidat, Deputy Director of Royal Initiatives, and His Excellency Ahmed Shatara, Director-General of the Educational Endowment, in addition to a number of officials and dignitaries and residents of the region.
On this occasion, Sheikh Mohammed Al Nuaimi said: “The journey of charitable work in the United Arab Emirates continues, inspired by the chapters of its success from the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE - may Allah protect him - and his brother His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE - may Allah protect him - and implementing the highest meanings of brotherhood and solidarity through the work of Emirati charitable institutions, the most important of which is the International Charity Organization, whose giving has exceeded 40 years, and has had a distinguished presence in supporting education within the UAE and in more than 20 countries around the world.”
He added: “Today we are launching a monument of knowledge in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, which provides an opportunity for our sons and daughters to achieve their dreams and build their future. It is the result of the support of His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ajman, may Allah protect him, as he chose to finance the project at his own expense. His Highness also had a distinctive imprint of giving through dozens of charitable and humanitarian projects over the past years, such as building mosques and homes, sponsoring orphans, supporting refugees and needy families, treating patients, and other projects.”
Sheikh Mohammed Al Nuaimi expressed his deep appreciation to His Majesty King Abdullah II, President of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and to the Jordanian Royal Court, for granting the plot of land on which the school was built, which formed the seed of goodness to start this blessed project. He also thanked all the ministries and institutions that followed up and supported the work to make the school an honourable model that is compatible with the best urban and educational standards, hoping that the project will be an important step on the paths of giving, followed by other steps to build preparatory and secondary stages, Allah willing.
Sheikh Mohammed Al Nuaimi stressed that the International Charity Organization is doing its utmost to support and develop communities and promote education, which is a fundamental pillar in achieving sustainable development. Hence, the Organization’s school was built in the Suwaima area to be a beacon of knowledge that contributes to raising an educated generation capable of contributing to building a bright future for their country. It also reflects the importance of investing in minds and energies from a young age.
For his part, His Excellency Dr. Khalid Al Khaja pointed out that the opening of the school at the beginning of the new academic year is a great achievement for the Organization, adding to its record
