The International Charity Organization announced the launch of its annual 'Winter Frost' campaign, aiming to implement charitable projects worth more than 10 million dirhams, by helping poor families affected by harsh weather conditions and providing them with their basic needs and securing the necessities of a decent life during the winter season.
In this context, His Excellency Dr. Khalid Abdul Wahab Al Khaja, Secretary-General of the Organization, stated: “We are launching this campaign based on our responsibility towards our brothers from the most needy groups, who suffer every winter from a lack of shelter, warmth and food, by implementing quality projects that aim to provide basic needs such as food aid, distributing winter clothes, maintaining homes, providing heating fuel, in addition to providing caravans for the displaced, and others."
He added: “Through this campaign, the Organization seeks to improve the quality of life of thousands of orphaned children, destitute families and the elderly who face the harshest conditions, especially in cold regions such as Kosovo, Bosnia and Kyrgyzstan. It also seeks to support needy groups within the UAE, such as workers and orphans, through winter clothing projects, food distribution, and others."
Al Khaja concluded his speech by calling on charitable people to contribute to supporting this campaign, stressing that true success lies in community cooperation that brings about a tangible change in the lives of those in need.
